The Morges Tulip Festival is a beautiful and well loved event that happens each year in Morges. The beloved festival features Lake Geneva with a breathtaking display of over 140,000 flowers, including 350 varieties of tulips.
This year’s festival, themed “Tales and Legends,” creates a stunning floral spectacle against the lake’s picturesque backdrop. It has become Switzerland’s largest flower festival, attracting nearly 300,000 visitors per year.
The Morges Tulip Festival is the perfect day trip for the springtime. The event is completely free, and there is a variety of programs throughout the festival and around Morges that are worth checking out.

Practical advice:
- The tulips are beautiful anytime you visit but many recommend visiting during Mid April to early May to see the flowers in full bloom. Check the latest bloom status here.
- Weekends can get very crowded. We would recommend visiting on a weekday for a more leisurely
- The event is a 10 minute walk from the Morges train station, so taking public transportation is highly recommended.
- Morges itself is a very cute town and worth spending some time exploring the many castles, museums, and more.
